Product Overview
Stayput Toggle Tarp Fastener works with a #1 spur or #2 plain grommets. Come in both horizontal and vertical versions. Easy to open and close. Requires no pressure to open or close the fastener. The specially designed toggle will hold the tarp or curtain in place. The Stayput toggle tarp fasteners are available in two styles and lengths to accommodate various applications and fabric thicknesses. Stayput products are manufactured from UV stabilized glass-filled nylon. MyTarp.com is an authorized retailer of Stayput products.
WARNINGS
- Unlike twist lock fasteners, Stayput toggle fasteners do NOT turn 90 degree and lock.
- Work with Size # 2 grommets (3/8" grommet hole diameter) ONLY. Please verify your grommet size before purchase.
- Grommet size larger than # 2 (3/8" grommet hole diameter) needs a flat washer to hold in place.

Helpful Tip
- The wider end of the toggle should point downwards
- Use single-stud if your curtain or tarp is not very thick
- Use double-stud if your curtain is of very thick material
- Add a 5/16" flat washer (not included) to hold the tarp tighter or when tarp grommet is larger than size #2. See picture of toggle tarp fastener with flat washer for more information.
- Use Double-Stud if you plan to add a washer, as Single-Stud may not have enough space to accommodate a washer.

These work as advertised. I've been using them for about 2 years with no fastener failures or tarps coming loose. I use the stainless steel version on the corners and high stress areas and put these in the middle. Saves money and they work great.
Purchased 30 black, did not receive any matching colored screws. Customer service says go to lowes but cannot find size flathead wood screws in black. Cheap
Stayput Toggle Fasteners are fasteners only and do NOT include any screws or installation tools. Depending on the materials or surfaces the Stayput Toggle Fasteners are installed to, different type of screws may be required.
I bought a bunch of these fasteners to enclose my pool cabana (18'x17'). I needed to use washers as the heavy tarps grommet holes were just too big. I also used the steel ones when connecting the two tarps together. The tarps and the fasteners held up to a Nor'easter snow storm and none of them broke. I highly recommend this product.

The nylon horizontal and vertical Stayput toggle tarp fasteners are nifty connectors, but they break very easily. We installed 3 clear tarps to enclose our patio before winter set in and they did fine until the wind picked up, then most of the fasteners broke with a single gust of wind. Fortunately, we noticed before the tarps blew away. We ended up using screws and washers to secure the tarps in below freezing weather, and it took us hours to get them secured. We purchased some metal toggle fasteners and they seem to be working OK, but they are VERY expensive. It you aren't going to be removing the tarps frequently, you will be better off just using screws with washers to secure your tarps.
In high wind areas or when tarps are heavy in weight, please use the Stainless Steel Stayput Toggle Fasteners, instead of the plastic ones.
This product is terrible, useless, worthless. It does not hold anything. The slightest breeze or tug and your tarp is in the wind. Then, this company does not stand behind it at all. Stay away.
As described on the product page, Stayput Toggle Fasteners do not work with grommets larger than size #2. If you need to use Stayput Toggle Fasteners with larger grommets, metal washer is needed. See product page.
