Common Applications

Commercial Fence Wraps & Construction Site Privacy Screen
Stadium & Sports Field Perimeter Banners
Retail & Festival Outdoor Event Signage
Scaffolding Enclosures & Windbreaks

Applications

Overview

High definition digital print windscreens and fence wraps for sports areas, data centers, schools and construction sites.

Best for

High-End Perimeter & Stadium Graphics: The 16x16 weave provides a higher surface area than standard mesh, making it a premier choice for close-up sports fencing, corporate sponsorships, and retail barrier graphics.
High-Wind Construction Sites: Ideal for heavy-duty commercial scaffolding wraps, job site privacy barriers.
Premium Printing Platforms: Optimally formulated for seamless ink adhesion and fast drying on Solvent, Eco-Solvent, UV, and Latex printers.

Not ideal for

Full Block Privacy Requirements: For 100% blockage or total privacy, a solid front-lit sign vinyl must be used instead.
Small-Scale Desktop/Aqueous Printers: This material cannot absorb water-based inks; it is strictly built for commercial roll-to-roll printers utilizing solvent, latex, or UV-curable ink systems.
Ultra-Lightweight Micro-Mesh Projects: Applications requiring a highly transparent, lightweight look should use a 7 oz or 8 oz mesh variation.

Comparison

Vs 7-9 oz windscreen mesh: lighter weight, more wind pass-through.
Vs this 10 oz windscreen mesh: 10 oz is stronger and more tear resistant and better print graphics quality.
Vs 18 oz solid vinyl: 18 oz solid vinyl provides 100% visibility block, when wind resistance is not a concern.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of printers and inks can be used on this mesh material?

This 10 oz premium vinyl-coated mesh is optimized for wide-format commercial inkjet printers. It is fully compatible with Solvent, Eco-Solvent, UV-Curable, and Latex inks. The specialty coating ensures excellent ink anchoring and fast drying times. It is not compatible with standard water-based (aqueous) or desktop dye inks.

How much airflow does the 16x16 weave allow?

The symmetrical 16x16 weave structure provides approximately 20% airflow permeability. This allows the optimal balance of wind-load reduction on fences and scaffolding, while preserving 70% opacity for sharp, highly vibrant graphic visibility and print clarity.

What makes the 1000D x 840D construction unique?

The 1000D x 840D specification represents the denier (thickness and weight) of the underlying polyester reinforcement fibers. This heavy-duty warp and weft combination gives the mesh exceptional tensile strength, making it highly resistant to tearing, fraying, stretching, or ripping under high-wind conditions.

What is the total shipping weight of a roll?

The net fabric weight of a 50-yard roll is 62.5 lbs (gross shipping weight with heavy-duty core and box is approximately 68–70 lbs). The net fabric weight of a 100-yard roll is 125 lbs (gross shipping weight is approximately 140 lbs). Please ensure your printer can handle the weight of the fabric roll.

Can this material be hemmed and grommeted?

Yes. The heavy duty vinyl coating allows finishing shops to seamlessly sew heavy-duty banner hems, apply high-frequency/RF welding, or use heavy-duty webbed bindings. It holds grommets exceptionally well without tearing loose due to the dense 1000D fabric backing.

How long does this mesh last outdoors?

Our vinyl-coated mesh is engineered for demanding industrial environments. It features built-in resistance to UV degradation, extreme temperatures, mildew, rotting, and water, offering a typical outdoor lifespan of up to 5 to 8 years depending on regional weather patterns and wind exposure levels.
