Stayput Toggle Tarp Fastener works with a #1 spur or #2 plain grommets. Come in both horizontal and vertical versions. Easy to open and close. Requires no pressure to open or close the fastener. The specially designed toggle will hold the tarp or curtain in place. The Stayput toggle tarp fasteners are available in two styles and lengths to accommodate various applications and fabric thicknesses. Stayput products are manufactured from UV stabilized glass-filled nylon. MyTarp.com is an authorized retailer of Stayput products.
WARNINGS
- Unlike twist lock fasteners, Stayput toggle fasteners do NOT turn 90 degree and lock.
- Work with Size # 2 grommets (3/8" grommet hole diameter) ONLY. Please verify your grommet size before purchase.
- Grommet size larger than # 2 (3/8" grommet hole diameter) needs a flat washer to hold in place.

Helpful Tip
- The wider end of the toggle should point downwards
- Use single-stud if your curtain or tarp is not very thick
- Use double-stud if your curtain is of very thick material
- Add a 5/16" flat washer (not included) to hold the tarp tighter or when tarp grommet is larger than size #2. See picture of toggle tarp fastener with flat washer for more information.
- Use Double-Stud if you plan to add a washer, as Single-Stud may not have enough space to accommodate a washer.

This little tarp fasteners are great. They are a little expensive but worth it. We ordered clear tarps for a patio and used them for this.

Very easy and fast
I have returned the product. I don't really understand the point of these fasteners if there is no tension to hold the grommet on the fastener. The shade sail will simply slip off the moment the wind blows.
The Stayput Toggle Fastner is designed for size # 2 grommets with 3/8 in grommet hole diameter. It will not work with larger grommet sizes unless a washer is added.

Works great 1/2 in grommet so I had to add washer would be great if you could have one manufactured that would work with a1/2 in grommet without having to add flat washer
The grommet is as advertised!!
However, the lever in the down position does not lock!! It is free to go back to the horizontal position very freely!! Soo the tarp will not hold in position. So it will not serve mine or anyone’s need!! Thank you for asking. I hope this will help you with a better design. Geoffrey!!

When the grommet size is larger, it will not stay in place. For larger grommets, people have added 5/16 in flat washer to help secure it. See the toggle product page for more information.
Two weeks since I ordered. No delivery. Sent an email asking for help. No response.

Fasteners won't hold a tarp in place.

Doesn't seem to hold the tarp in even moderate winds. Is there a way to secure it?
These things are worthless. The toggle mechanism is too short to keep the tarp in place.
Disappointed, the clips don't hold the tarp well and if you add a standard washer, they don't close.
They don’t do good holding under wind. They tend to come loose. The horn horizontal seemed to hold all right with the white pulling down from the tarp, but decide they would just come loose, but it has to be pretty windy. I use snaps they’re not really worth the money actually they’re kinda expensive for a piece of plastic

It doesn't hold tarps because the tab isn't secured in the closed position
you should send the washers with the toggles. toggles don't stay closed without them
Fits perfectly. just wish it wasn’t plastic, needs to be made with stronger material, it can break easily
Unique. Thought they were the answer to me hanging my tarp up on my screened in porch to protect my plants from the cold. I can't really say, how they worked, because they did not come with screws. But even if they would have, I found out my porch is all Cement board, so trying to install them did not pan out.

I thought this would be the perfect solution for the clear curtains on my screened porch. Unfortunately, they don’t stay in the “locked” position so they don’t hold down the curtains.
This Stayput Toggle Fastener is for #2 size grommet with 3/8' grommet hole diameter. If the grommet is larger than #2, then it will not work. To accomodate for grommet size larger than #2, people have added a flat metal washer to help hold the grommet in place with the Stayput Toggle Fastener. See the product page for more information.

A good heavy duty tarp that is similar to old canvas tarps from the 70s. Stitching appears to be good quality and the reinforced seams and eyelets are holding up well.

Good quality fabric. It looks very durable. I used it with the HH-66 vinyl cement to make patio furniture covers. The cement is bonding the fabric really well.
